The U18 national team won the third and last test match in Davos (Switzerland) against the Swiss 5:2 (1:1; 0:1; 4:0). The team around Böhm and Schädler won two of the three test games against Switzerland.
"We want to play better again today and correct the mistakes we made yesterday," said Thomas Schädler, the U18 national team's talent coach, before the last match. The Swiss initially took the lead through Volejnicek (7th), but Samuel Somaires (13th) was able to equalize before the first break with a pass from Maximilian Adam.
In the second period, both teams had the opportunity to score goals on power plays, but both remained goalless in this phase of the game. Only Simon Le Coultre scored to give Switzerland the lead a few minutes before the second break.
But right at the beginning of the last period of the game, Marco Sternheimer took advantage of a penalty from the Swiss team and scored to equalize 2-2. A few minutes later, Marvin Ratmann's goal gave the team around Böhm and Schädler the lead. Despite three further penalty periods on the part of the DEB-Selection were able to maintain the result and even extend their lead to 57:4 in the 2th minute thanks to Ratmann's second goal. Marco Sternheimer sealed the final score of 5:2 with his second goal of the evening.
André Dietzsch, team manager of the U18 national team: "We deserved to win today thanks to a solid team performance and a good goalkeeping performance. Nevertheless, we must not overestimate the results. We are still in the early stages of the season and there is still a lot of work ahead of us. The positive thing was that we were able to test many players, which makes it easier to plan for the upcoming measures. Rick and Thomas did a great job on and off the ice. They took a lot of time to work with the players individually and to get involved with the team."
