The Deutschland Cup moves to Augsburg. The Deutscher Eishockey-Bund (DEB) and the Augsburger Panther Eishockey GmbH agreed Deutschland Cup to be held in the Curt Frenzel Stadium from 2015 to 2017.
Deutschland Cup
The Deutschland Cup is an international ice hockey tournament that takes place annually in November. The competition has been organized by the Deutscher Eishockey-Bund as an official national tournament since 1987. The last one was Deutschland Cup was held from 2009 to 2014 in the Olympic Ice Sports Center and the Olympic Hall in Munich and welcomed around 180.000 spectators over the six years. This November it will be DEBteam will meet teams from Switzerland, Slovakia and a selection of Americans playing in Europe in Augsburg from November 6th to 8th.
Curt Frenzel Stadium
The Curt Frenzel Stadium is the venue for the DEL team.Augsburger Panther“ and was rebuilt and renovated between 2010 and 2014 so that, with a capacity of 6.139 spectators, it is particularly attractive for large events.
